We Lift our eyes unto "The Hill From Whence Commeth our Help"

May 21, 2022

So much has happened since our last blog entry, that I find it hard to decide where to even begin, nevertheless, I will press forward.  We began this year in the middle of a worldwide pandemic: Co-Vid 19, and have been faced with many very difficult choices.  So many people have passed on worldwide due to this pandemic, and many drastic measures had to be taken.

There has been and continues to be widespread panic as people attemp to find ways to cope.  There is so much bad news on a daily basis with no end in sight.

Even as those of us who are called by Christ name continue more than ever to look unto Jesus, there has began that great falling away spoken of in the Word of God.  Not withstanding, we take heart, because we knew these days would come.  Therefore, we remain focussed on the Kingdom of God, knowing that our redemption is drawing near.

In the Gospel accoding to John chapter 17, Jesus prays for His Body, asking the Father to keep us from the ills of this world, while we reside tempiorarily here.  So even in the midst of all the chaos and confussion,...

December 22, 2009

"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." Isa. 9:6.

"Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call His name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us."  Mat. 1:23.

And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail thou that art highly favored, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.

And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.

And the angel said unto her, fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favor with God.

And behold thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a Son, and shalt call His name Jesus.

He shall be great, and shall...

Independence Day

July 4, 2009

Today is the 4th of July, the nation's Independence Day. It is the day that the United States celebrate Their new freedom from the tirany from Great Britain. This happened many years ago, and still yearly, this event is celebrated with great pomp and ceremony, as it happens in any nation that has had to break free from under bondage to another.

This brings to mind that the whole world lies in bondage of sin, and in like manner, God, because of the great love He has for us, made a way for us to be set free. We receive our independence from sin and satan's power, by receiving Jesus Christ as our only Lord and Savior.
You see, He payed the penalty for sin on our behalf, in order to fulfill the righteous demands of a Holy God who said that: "the soul that sin, it shall die" Ezekiel 18:4. Jesus fulfilled this, as He died, a human sacrifice for the sins of the whole world. We are free from sin and satan's power, when we accept this complete offering for sin. Yes, there...
